Season Opening 2026
June 16, 2026
The 2026 season at Tippet Rise begins this Friday, June 19! Guests exploring the trails within the main Cottonwood Campus can encounter Scythian (1979-1995), the fourth sculpture by Mark di Suvero at the art center, with its large kinetic spinner top that rotates in the wind. In the coming weeks, Alicja Kwade’s Causa Formalis (2025) will also be installed, providing a rewarding destination for hikers and bikers ascending the Meridian Trail, as well as those taking a tour with this summer’s sculpture van guides.
Hiking, Biking, and Van Tours
For those still interested in exploring the trail system, hiking and biking reservations are available through October 4, and additional reservations are added to the Tippet Rise website on a weekly basis. Sculpture van tours are offered until the start of the concert season, through August 10. There are six separate tours each day – three in the morning and three in the afternoon – and any reservations that become available through cancellations are added back for sale on a first come, first served basis.
Please note that anyone who has already made a reservation to visit Tippet Rise will receive a confirmation email the week of your scheduled activity with additional information and reminders.

Recent and upcoming album releases
Two new albums recorded at Tippet Rise and released by PENTATONE bookend the season.
Out now worldwide, ‘The Deep Has Always Known Me’ features GRAMMY-winning flutist Brandon Patrick George and pianist Bryan Wagorn performing works by Franz Schubert, Carl Reinecke, Lili Boulanger, Florence Price, and William Grant Still. The project grew from a desire to create something meaningful after a long period of separation due to the pandemic and is centered on themes of love, loss, and solace. Listen now in the Tippet Rise Music Library or on all major streaming platforms.
Pianist Yulianna Avdeeva’s latest album, ‘Metanoia,’ will be released on August 28, the same day as her third solo performance at Tippet Rise during the concert season. ‘Metanoia’ explores the later piano music of Franz Liszt and highlights works that show his evolution from virtuoso to visionary.
New events are announced thoughout the season in the Tippet Rise e-newsletter, website, and social media channels.
