New book by Tippet Rise co-founder now available

It is our pleasure to announce the publication of a new book by the co-founder of Tippet Rise, Peter Halstead. Many who know of Tippet Rise think of Peter as a visionary, a partner with his wife, Cathy, in bringing to life a bold and beautiful idea that, in a fairly short span of time, has become the art center. Those who encounter him during their visits to Tippet Rise learn immediately that he is indeed that, but he’s also warm, humorous, a wonderful and witty storyteller.
What’s perhaps less evident is that Peter is an accomplished pianist, photographer, and poet. Featuring Peter’s stunning poetry and dazzling photography, A Winter Ride is a joyful, poignant ride through the thoughts, notions and imaginings of Peter Halstead. A journey to another world, really, one that “today is filled with wind/As the winter snows rescind,/Leaving bare spots where the roots/Of lodgepoles plan their fruits.”
Peter has published seven books of poetry and five of photography. A Winter Ride – truly a joyful ride – is now available for sale in the visitor center, in the Olivier Music Barn, at Tippet Rise.
