About the Musicians
Born to a family of musicians, Adam Golka began playing piano and violin at age 4. As a concert pianist, he has garnered international prizes and won critical acclaim worldwide. The Washington Post said Adam plays “…with dramatic flair and conviction, bold yet musical, filled with risk-taking.” Last year, he released Volume 1 of the Complete Beethoven Piano Sonatas, recorded in the Olivier Music Barn at Tippet Rise.
The Ariel Quartet, too, has garnered widespread critical acclaim. Founded in Israel nearly twenty years ago, today the quartet maintains a busy touring schedule internationally, in addition to serving as the Faculty Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. In 2020, the Ariel received the Cleveland Quartet Award from Chamber Music America in recognition of its extraordinary artistic achievements.
We were excited to present the Ariel Quartet and Adam Golka in concert in 2017 and then again, virtually, on October 7 and we are delighted to offer the event to you to stream anytime, from anywhere. We hope you enjoy it! For more online concerts, please visit our Virtual Events page.
