Program
TICKETS AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE AUGUST 21 at 8:00 AM MDT. Designed to educate and engage, family concerts at Tippet Rise explore instruments, composers, history, and themes in an interactive performance. We are delighted for families to join us for a performance presented by Baroque Music Montana. Performers include the group’s founder and baroque violinist Carrie Krause; Nate Helgeson, performing on the dulcian, a predecessor to the modern-day bassoon; and John Lenti, playing the theorbo, a guitar-like instrument. Their program features 17th century music by Italian, German, and Spanish composers mixed with informative and lively explanations of the genre.
Each family concert performance is proceeded by an “instrument petting zoo,” beginning at 1:00 PM, in which children are encouraged to make sounds with instruments and enjoy making the magic of music.
