Performing string sextets by Schoenberg and Tchaikovsky, Jamaican-American violist Jordan Bak, the 2021 YCAT Robey Artist and a top laureate of the 2020 Sphinx Competition, makes his Tippet Rise debut alongside five returning artists including violinist Jennifer Frautschi, a two-time Grammy nominee and Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient; violinist Katie Hyun, founder and director of the Quodlibet Ensemble and founding member of the Amphion String Quartet; Milena Pajaro-van de Stadt, violist of the Grammy-nominated Dover Quartet; cellist virtuoso Gabriel Cabezas, winner of the 2016 Sphinx Medal of Excellence; and Grammy-winning Canadian cellist Arlen Hlusko, a current member of the Bang on a Can All-Stars, and a recent alumna of Carnegie Hall's Ensemble Connect.
