**SHOSTAKOVICH, PROKOFIEV, AND RACHMANINOFF** These three works for cello and piano provide the musical core of what we hope Tippet Rise will suggest to its visitors: the ineffable yearning for the land, the love of the steppes, the fight for the nation, which these composers and these extraordinary works symbolize. As played by the eminent pianist and cellist Christopher O’Riley and Matt Haimovitz, this will be an event not to be missed, and will be discussed at length in our program guide, which will be distributed at our concerts.
