Montana Flood Relief

June 17, 2022

This past weekend, rapid snowmelt caused by unusually warm temperatures, combined with periods of heavy rainfall, led to unprecedented flooding throughout south-central Montana. Many of our neighboring communities were affected including Fishtail, Nye, Roscoe, Red Lodge, Livingston, Absarokee, Paradise Valley, Gardiner, Cooke City, Yellowstone National Park, and beyond.

This is an extremely challenging period for the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem that Tippet Rise Art Center calls home. We are grateful for the resilience that so many first responders and volunteers have already demonstrated, and at Tippet Rise, we are collectively committed to aiding in recovery efforts.

While we will remain closed June 17, 18, and 19, we are working to reopen to visitors as soon as conditions allow.

For those who are able and would like to contribute to relief efforts throughout the region, please consider donating any amount to the following:

Carbon County Disaster Relief Fund
Go Fund Me for the Roscoe Community
Southwest Montana Disaster Relief Fund
Absarokee Community Foundation
Columbus Community Foundation

With gratitude,
The Tippet Rise Art Center Team
