GABRIELLA SMITH: Aquatic Ecology (2025)—Tippet Rise Co-Commission
Acclaimed sextet chamber ensemble yMusic, who eschews boundaries by performing the vanguard of American Contemporary Music and imbuing their own unique sound to popular music, makes its debut in an outdoor program at the Domo. The program includes a work composed for the ensemble by contemporary composer Judd Greenstein and a Tippet Rise Co-Commission written by rising young composer Gabriella Smith. Inspired by ocean ecosystems, Smith’s new work Aquatic Ecology provides a point of dialogue for audiences on climate change.
Guests of this concert will be transported to the Domo via school bus.
