On Friday, September 13 at 3:00 PM, Montana’s current Poet Laureate, Chris La Tray, will lead a poetry reading at Tippet Rise. The event will take place outdoors within the main Cottonwood Campus.

Chris La Tray is a Métis storyteller, a descendent of the Pembina Band of the mighty Red River of the North, and an enrolled member of the Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians. He writes the weekly newsletter "An Irritable Métis" and lives near Frenchtown, Montana. His new book, “Becoming Little Shell: A Landless Indian’s Journey Home”, will be published on August 20, and copies will be available for purchase here.
