Description

Pianist Yulianna Avdeeva first gained worldwide recognition at the 2010 Chopin Competition, where she won First Prize with a “detailed way of playing” that “matched Chopin’s own” (The Telegraph). In her much-anticipated Tippet Rise debut, Avdeeva will showcase her mastery of Chopin with his Polonaise-fantaisie in A-flat Major, followed by Władysław Szpilman’s suite The Life of the Machines and Prokofiev’s Sonata No. 8 in B-flat Major. Of the musician,Gramophone said, she “is an artist who can truly make the piano sing.”
