Description
Saturday morning’s performance will feature two rising stars in their Tippet Rise debuts, including cellist Sterling Elliott, a 2021 Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient, winner of the 2019 National Sphinx Competition (Senior Division), and a current Kovner Fellow at The Julliard School, with Chinese pianist Wynona Wang, winner of the 2018 Concert Artists Guild International Competition. The two will perform cello and piano sonatas by Shostakovich and the contemporary composer Brian Raphael Nabors, and Saint-Saëns’ Havanaise. We welcome these talented musicians to Tippet Rise.
