On Saturday evening, Russian pianist Yulianna Avdeeva makes her Tippet Rise debut with a program showcasing Chopin and Beethoven. Recent performances by Avdeeva include her Los Angeles Philharmonic debut with Gustavo Dudamel, the Orchestra Philharmonique de Radio France, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra under Marin Alsop. Avdeeva's Chopin performances have been widely praised, marking her as one of the composer's foremost interpreters today. Of the musician, Gramophone said, she “is an artist who can truly make the piano sing.”
