Pre Concert Talk: 5:00 PM, Tiara Acoustic Shell

Description

For our final weekend of the season, we are thrilled to welcome members of Ensemble Connect, a two-year fellowship program of Carnegie Hall, the Juilliard School, and the Weill Music Institute in partnership with the New York City Department of Education. During Friday’s performance, these rising young stars will showcase pieces by Boccherini, Brahms and the Hungarian composer and ethnomusicologist, Zoltán Kodály, who, with the composer Béla Bartók, collected a treasury of Hungarian folk music, from which he borrowed much inspiration, including for this Serenade.
