The Olivier Music Barn, 6:30 PM

Pre Concert Talk: 5:00 PM, Tiara Acoustic Shell

Description

The New York Times praised pianist Roman Rabinovich for his “uncommon sensitivity and feeling.” Roman makes his debut at the art center this weekend, joining the members of the Escher String Quartet who return to Tippet Rise. This evening’s repertoire-spanning concert features Gyorgy Ligeti’s trailblazing 1951-53 Musica ricercata, one of Schubert’s last major compositions for solo piano, and a Brahms masterpiece, his Piano Quintet in F Minor, Op. 34, among the most recorded of all piano quintets.
