Rising star Aristo Sham has won prizes at Switzerland’s Verbier Festival and the Clara Haskil, Saint-Priest, and Viotti international piano competitions. On Saturday, he joins cellist Gabriel Cabezas and violinist Katie Hyun, performing works by Haydn and Mendelssohn. Of Cabezas, The Oregonian wrote, he is an “An intense player who connects to music naturally, without artifice, and brings a singing line to the cello.” Cleveland.com praised Hyun for her “sensitivity and top shelf artistry.”
