Unearthed: Exhibition Tour with Artist, Stephen Talasnik

We are thrilled to host our first-ever exhibition at Tippet Rise Art Center, Unearthed, by the world-renowned artist Stephen Talasnik. This tour will be led by the artist himself and offers guests a rare opportunity to gain insight on his work first-hand. Guests will walk through the Unearthed exhibition with Talasnik and then board a Tippet Rise van and visit the enormous site-specific sculpture he created for Tippet Rise in 2016, Satellite #5: Pioneer. There, in the shadows of the sculpture, Talasnik will discuss its relationship to the landscape of Tippet Rise and the arc of history that informed it, as well as the intellectual, artistic and physical processes involved in creating the piece. Talasnik is an engaging artist who enjoys discussing his own biography, American history and culture and the ways these have woven together to inform his artistic processes. This is an experience not to be missed!
